Taekwon-Do forKids
A fantastic activity for children and young people of all ages — physical development, focus and friendship in a welcoming club environment.
Taekwon-Do helps develop agility, balance, coordination and speed, improving movement quality and promoting the long term athletic development of the child.
Taekwon-Do classes help to promote discipline and focus. Children learn to set a goal such as a grading or a tournament and work towards this goal. Taekwon-Do clubs provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere — an ideal setting for children to meet new people and make friends. Being part of a club can help keep the child motivated to continue training through their teens and into adulthood.
The Irish Taekwon-Do Association has clubs throughout the country with qualified, experienced instructors. As part of an ITA club, your child will have access to our grading system, allowing them to progress through the grades as their skills build and one day achieve the dream of black belt.
The ITA also runs national level tournaments. These competitions are a great day out for the family and allow your child to test their skills and feel a sense of accomplishment. The tournament circuit also provides a pathway for the future stars of the Irish Taekwon-Do team.
